This week, a parent near you is choosing a nursery.Does she know yours exists?

You're an expert at running a nursery. You shouldn't also have to be an expert at making sure every local parent knows it exists.

She'll look at two or three and pick one.

If yours isn't among them, they'll never know what they missed.

Neither will you.

Here's what one missed family could represent in nursery fees if their child attended three full days a week until school:

These are indicative lifetime-revenue figures for 1 child—an eligible, fully funded child—attending 3 full days a week across 51 weeks of the year. Revenue is not profit.

That's one family.

Not a family who chose against your nursery—a family who never had the chance to choose it.

What could that additional revenue make possible for your nursery?

Every nursery owner has a list. One more child on roll could help pay for yours.

The staff roomA place that shows your team they matter.
New flooringThe improvement that keeps getting postponed.

We had a list too.

We bought a 98-place nursery that was barely half full—and we know exactly how that feels at two o’clock in the morning.

It was running at 51% occupancy and losing money. We could see what needed to improve, but the only way to fund those improvements was to bring more children onto the roll.

We had one advantage most nursery owners don’t:

There were two of us.

While Deborah ran the nursery day to day, John focused on helping more local parents discover our nursery, consider it and arrange a visit.

DeborahRun the nurseryDay-to-day operations
JohnGrow occupancyDiscovery, consideration and visits

In our first full twelve months, occupancy rose from 51% to a profitable 72%—the equivalent of filling approximately 21 additional full-time places—and we began ticking things off the list.

Eight years later, we offered the nursery for sale. It sold on the first morning—full, with a waiting list.

Since then, we've used what we learned to help other nurseries increase their occupancy.

That experience is why the programme works the way it does. We carry the upfront cost; you pay only after a parent we've introduced actually visits your nursery.

We're not an agency. We're John and Deborah—nursery people who built a business around the one problem that was holding everything else up.

We do the work. We take the risk.

Our job is simple: help more local families discover your nursery and arrange their visit.

You pay for one thing: a visit that actually happens.

85%of the nurseries we began helping in our first year are still working with us today—six years later.

Three steps. Two of them are ours.

Ours

We check whether your area is available.

If it is, we arrange a fifteen-minute call to make sure your nursery is the right fit—and that this is the right solution for you.

Ours

We find the families and arrange their visits.

We find local parents who are genuinely looking for a nursery place and arrange a time for them to visit yours.

Nothing for you to learn. Nothing for you to run.

Some months will be busier than others. You pay only for the visits that happen.

Yours

You welcome them through the door.

A parent arrives at a time you agreed. You show them what you’ve built.

And while you do, we’ll already be finding the next family.

What happens if nothing changes?

Nothing dramatic happens. That's the problem.

Next September may look much like this one: the same spaces unfilled, the same improvements waiting and the same list still in your head.

The alternative begins with one more family walking through your door.

More children. More choices.

Stronger occupancy isn't simply a better percentage on a report. It gives your nursery choices.

The choice to improve the environment. To invest in better resources. To reward the people who have stayed with you. To plan ahead with more confidence. And to pay yourself the salary your work and responsibility deserve.

It won't all happen overnight. But every additional child on roll moves another plan closer.

Before you take the next stepThere is one important condition.

One area. One nursery.

We never work with two nurseries in the same local area. If we work with you, everything we do there is focused on bringing families to your door—not dividing our attention between you and the nursery down the road.

15minute
call

Before anything is agreed, there's a fifteen-minute call. Ask us anything. Together, we'll answer three questions:

  • Is your nursery the right fit?
  • How many places would you like to fill?
  • Is this right for you?

If another nursery secures your area first, we won't be able to work with you while their agreement is in place. We'll be helping local families discover their nursery instead.

Your first step is simply to check whether your area is still available.

Questions you’ll want answered before you decide.

Clear answers, in plain English, before you take the first step.

What exactly do I pay £199 for?

A local parent who is genuinely looking for a nursery place, whose visit we arranged, and who arrives at your nursery at the time you agreed.

Not a click. Not an enquiry. Not a phone number. Not an appointment in the diary.

What counts as a chargeable visit is set out clearly in writing before we begin.

What happens if a parent doesn’t attend?

You don’t pay.

Tell us within 24 hours so we can record the non-attendance accurately.

If we don’t hear from you within that time, the visit will be recorded as attended—so that 24-hour window matters.

How many visits will I receive?

There is no guaranteed number and no minimum spend.

We ask you to keep room in your diary for an average of at least two visits a month across the year.

Some months will naturally be busier than others.

You pay only for the visits that take place.

Do you guarantee that visiting parents will register?

No. We create the opportunity; the family makes the decision.

We bring an interested local family through your door. Whether they register depends on their response to your nursery, the other settings they are considering and their own circumstances.

Nobody can honestly promise what an individual family will decide.

What happens after the parent arrives?

You take it from there.

You welcome the family, show them the nursery and handle any follow-up, offer and registration. We may contact the parent afterwards to confirm that the visit happened, but we don’t step into what comes next.

Nobody shows a nursery better than the person who runs it.

How long is the agreement?

Twelve months.

Doing this properly takes a sustained commitment, so the term is made clear before you join—not afterwards. Nothing renews automatically. If we both want to continue, we agree what happens next.

How does the monthly cap work?

You set the maximum number of chargeable visits you are prepared to accept in a month.

We won’t arrange more than that without your agreement, so your spending remains predictable and under your control.

Is your area still available?

Your first step is simply to find out. If your area is available, we'll arrange a fifteen-minute call to answer your questions, understand how many places you would like to fill and decide together whether Nursery Solutions is right for you.
